WHAT MAKES A FIT, PERFECT

1. Check the Band – Your Main Support
The band provides nearly 80% of your bra’s support.
It should sit straight across your back, not ride up.
It should feel snug but comfortable — you should be able to slide two fingers underneath, not more.
If it moves up when you raise your arms, it’s too loose.
A well-fitting band stays firm and level all day.
2. Check the Cups – No Gaps, No Spills
Your breasts should sit completely inside the cups.
No bulging on the top or sides
No empty space or wrinkling inside the cups
The fabric should lie smooth and flat over the breast
The cups should hold your breasts gently, without squeezing or leaving space.
3. Check the Centre – The Middle Panel Should Sit Flat
The small piece of fabric between the cups (called the centre gore) should:
Rest flat against your chest
Not float or press painfully into the skin
This shows the cups and band are working together correctly.
4. Check the Straps – Support, Not Pressure
Straps should only provide light support.
They should not dig into your shoulders
They should not slip off frequently
You should fit one finger comfortably under each strap
If straps leave deep marks, the band may be too loose or the size incorrect.
5. Check the Underwire or Base – It Should Follow Your Natural Shape
If your bra has underwires:
The wire should sit around the breast, not on it
It should rest comfortably against the ribcage
No poking, pinching, or pressing into the breast tissue
Proper wires support from underneath without pain.
6. Move & Test – Comfort Through the Day Matters
Try these quick movements:
Raise your arms
Bend forward
Take a deep breath
Your bra should:
Stay in place
Keep your breasts supported
Feel comfortable, not restrictive
A good bra should feel natural and secure, even when you move.
